MedExpress Opens Moon Twp., PA
October 1 2009
MedExpress Urgent Care opens a new center in Moon Township on
Wednesday, October 7, 2009. The center is located on University
Blvd., across from Primanti's.
With twelve other MedExpress centers strategically placed around
Pittsburgh, a location in Moon Township was selected so that
residents living west of Pittsburgh could have convenient access to
urgent care services. MedExpress began in Morgantown, WV in 2001,
and has since expanded to Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Florida. With
the opening of the Moon Township center, MedExpress operates 39
centers nationwide. MedExpress will open Center number 40 in South
Charleston, WV, later this month and has several additional clinics
under development.
Urgent care is one of the fastest growing sectors in the health
care- its value and utility are being recognized as an appropriate
fit to the gap that exists in the healthcare spectrum between
primary care and emergency medicine. Simply defined, urgent care
offers unscheduled, walk-in health care for patients with illnesses
or injuries that are not life-threatening.
