MedExpress Urgent Care will open its newest Florida center to the Cape Coral community at 313 SW Pine Island Road on May 11. As a welcoming gift to the community, the Cape Coral center is offering free sports, camp and school physicals to patients ages five-years-old and up from May 11 – 25.

The new center will offer walk-in treatment for everyday illness and injury, including more advanced offerings such as on-site X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains and strains. MedExpress also offers basic wellness and prevention services such as physicals, immunizations and tobacco cessation counseling. Local employers can utilize MedExpress for employer health services such as occupational medicine, employee injury care, workers’ compensation and pre-employment screenings and physicals.

“We know how busy the world is today and how an unexpected illness or injury can be an inconvenience for families and employees,” said Zorayda Puello, Florida Area Manager, MedExpress.

“But at MedExpress, patients can walk-in, see our friendly medical team and receive high-quality, professional medical treatment in a timely fashion. We also coordinate care with other area health providers such as primary care physicians, specialists and area hospitals to ensure Cape Coral patients receive the most appropriate follow-up care if it’s needed,” said Puello.

MedExpress is staffed by a full medical team and is open 12 hours a day, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week and accepts most insurance. With no appointment needed, MedExpress provides a convenient option for unscheduled, time-sensitive care.
