MedExpress is opening its newest neighborhood medical center in Massachusetts on Wednesday, May 31 in Chelmsford at 39 Chelmsford St. As a gift to the community, the Chelmsford center will be offering two weeks of free sports physicals to patients ages five and up from May 31 through June 13.
“MedExpress offers a high-quality, affordable option that’s close to home, so patients and employers can get access to health care when and where they need it,” said Sarah Moses, MedExpress Area Manager for Massachusetts.
“Now with three centers in northeast Massachusetts, we’re creating convenient health care access points for the treatment of everyday illness and injury. MedExpress is a great option that can help patients get healthy and back to what’s important.”
The center in Chelmsford will care for people of all ages, providing urgent care, employer health services, and basic wellness and prevention services. Walk-in treatment is available for everyday illness and injury, including more advanced offerings such as X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches, and treatment for broken bones, sprains, and strains. Local employers can use MedExpress for a host of employer health services including workers’ compensation, injury care, pre- and ongoing employment screenings, physicals, and regulatory exams. Basic wellness and prevention services offered at MedExpress include sports physicals, routine physicals, and immunizations to help Chelmsford-area residents maintain good health.
The new center will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with no appointment necessary. MedExpress accepts all major insurances and offers affordable pricing for those without insurance. The center will be staffed by a full medical team, which includes customer service representatives, nurses, medical providers, and radiologic technologists. As a community health care partner, MedExpress believes strongly in the importance of working with fellow community health care providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. When necessary, the Chelmsford team can help refer patients within the broader health care system, including referrals to specialists, primary care physicians, and hospitals.
MedExpress has eight neighborhood medical centers in Massachusetts, with plans to bring the same warm, welcoming approach to more communities across the state, including a new center in Hadley, slated to open this fall.
