The 2017-2018 flu season was one of the most severe in recent memory – the first to be classified as high-severity across all age groups according to the CDC. To help our communities this season, we’re tracking flu activity and offering our best cold, flu, and seasonal illness prevention tips.

As of March 9, widespread influenza-like illness activity has been reported in 46 states, according to the CDC. Four states, including Texas, have reported regional influenza-like illness activity. Current influenza forecasts predict that flu season is likely peaking. However, the CDC says "elevated flu activity will continue for the next several weeks."
