MedExpress Urgent Care, a neighborhood health care provider, will open a new urgent care center in Irving Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 3413 N. Belt Line Road.

The Irving center will mark the opening by offering free flu shots to patients ages four and up Oct. 10-16.

The Irving center will be the 14th MedExpress location in Texas, joining four existing Dallas-area centers in Arlington, Dallas, Fort Worth and Little Elm.

“We look forward to opening our doors to the Irving community,” said Ed Casaldi, Texas area manager, MedExpress.

“Everything about our model of care and our facility is focused on the patient. The center features a large, comfortable reception area, numerous patient rooms and an on-site X-ray suite, and we strive to have most patients in and out in under an hour. Patients can walk in, see our friendly medical team and receive quality, professional medical care in a timely fashion.”

The center will care for people of all ages, providing urgent care, employer health services and basic wellness and prevention services. Walk-in treatment is available for everyday illness and injury – including treatment for fall and winter ailments such as colds, flu and upper respiratory infections – as well as more advanced services including X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains and strains. Local employers can use MedExpress for employer health services that include workers’ compensation, injury care, pre- and ongoing employment screenings, physicals and regulatory exams. Basic wellness and prevention services include sports physicals, routine physicals and immunizations to help Irving residents maintain good health.

The Irving center will have multiple exam rooms, a procedure room and an X-ray suite. The centers will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with no appointment necessary. MedExpress accepts all major insurance plans and offers affordable pricing for people without insurance. The centers will be staffed by a full medical team that includes medical providers, radiologic technologists, nurses and customer service representatives. As a community health care partner, MedExpress believes strongly in the importance of working with fellow community health care providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. When necessary, MedExpress can help refer patients within the broader health care system, including referrals to specialists, primary care physicians and hospitals.
