MedExpress Urgent Care announces the opening of its first Houston-area neighborhood medical center in Rosenberg on Wednesday, Dec. 13 in Brazos Town Center at 4050 FM 762 Rd. The new center will offer free flu shots to patients ages four and up, while supplies last, to help Rosenberg residents prepare for flu season.
This center is MedExpress’ third location in Texas, joining two existing locations in Dallas and Little Elm, both of which opened to serve patients last month.
MedExpress plans to bring the same warm, welcoming approach to health care to more communities in the area, beginning with a new center in Beaumont, opening on Dec. 15. Centers are planned to open in Katy and Pasadena in February 2018.
The center in Rosenberg will care for people of all ages, providing urgent care, employer health services and basic wellness and prevention services. Walk-in treatment is available for everyday illness and injury – including treatment for common winter ailments such as colds, flu, ear infections, upper respiratory infections, bronchitis and strep throat – as well as more advanced services including X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains and strains. Local employers can use MedExpress for employer health services, which include workers’ compensation, injury care, pre- and ongoing employment screenings, physicals and regulatory exams. Basic wellness and prevention services available include sports physicals, routine physicals and immunizations to help Rosenberg-area residents maintain overall good health and wellbeing.
“MedExpress is a resource for busy Rosenberg families and employers who need timely access to affordable, high-quality health care close to home and work,” said Ed Casaldi, MedExpress Area Manager for Texas. “We know how busy the world is today and how unexpected illness or injury can be an inconvenience, especially during cold and flu season. But, at MedExpress, we’re truly dedicated to providing patient-centric care that is available when our patients need it – so they can get great care that’s fast, but never rushed.”
The Rosenberg center will have multiple exam rooms, a procedure room and an X-ray suite. The center is open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with no appointment necessary. MedExpress accepts all major insurances and offers affordable pricing for those without insurance. The center will be staffed by a full medical team, which includes customer service representatives, nurses, medical providers and radiologic technologists. As a community health care partner, MedExpress believes strongly in the importance of working collaboratively with fellow community health care providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
